Stop counting lands.
Start counting sources.

OnCurve distinguishes between a tapped land and an untapped source. It knows that a Turn 1 Fetchland is a red source, but a Turn 1 Slowland is a dead card.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this support Commander?
Yes, OnCurve supports 100-card singleton decks. However, the recommendations engine is currently optimized for 60-card competitive formats (Modern, Pioneer, Legacy) where consistency on turns 1-3 is most critical.
How do you calculate fetchlands?
We treat fetchlands as virtual sources. A Scalding Tarn counts as both a Blue and Red source (Turn 1, Untapped) if you have valid fetchable lands remaining in your deck list.
What about mana dorks and rocks?
In v1, we focus primarily on land sources. Mana creatures (like Birds of Paradise) and artifacts are counted as sources starting the turn *after* they are cast, assuming they survive.
